“Finding the Soul through Art”

By all accounts the winter retreat was a great success!

The Men’s Art Forum is holding a co-ed retreat
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2009, 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Where:
Lake Forest Friends (Quaker) Meeting House
101 West Old Elm Road, Lake Forest, IL
1 block west of the intersection of Rte. 41 and Old Elm Rd.

“What’s Coming Up”  

We will explore our creative capabilities and the interface between art and soul through a variety of media, including drama, poetry, guided visualization, yoga, meditation, drawing, “sacred voice” writing exercises and music. Participants in past MAF retreats have found them to be exhilarating and, sometimes, life-changing experiences.

What to bring:
  Completed and signed registration and waiver forms
  or fax to 773 929-1069 by May 29, 2009.

 $50.00 cash or check (payable to Scott Wills) to cover Retreat costs.

 Loose, comfortable clothes that can get paint, ink, etc. on them.

 Optional: snacks and nonalcoholic drinks to share (breakfast & lunch will be provided).

 Musical/rhythm instruments.

 Art materials you like to use; stories, poems, or readings you’d like to share.

 Materials used in Retreat activities will be provided.
